In September 2020, Grupo JD, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, executed a share purchase agreement for the sale of its agribusiness operations, Fazendas São Marcelo, focused on cattle raising and commercialization, to one of the leading Brazilian farmers, Agropecuária Jacarezinho. Agropecuária Jacarezinho is an investment of the controlling shareholders of Marfrig S.A, a leading global animal protein group.
