Duff & Phelps Expands Restructuring Practice in Middle East with Hire of Sari Gadir

Duff & Phelps, the world’s premier provider of governance, risk and transparency solutions, announced that Sari Gadir has joined the firm as an associate managing director in the firm’s Global Restructuring Advisory practice. He is the second senior hire on the UAE Restructuring team, following Richard Clarke, who joined in July, to bolster’s the firm’s capabilities for clients in the Middle East. Gadir will be based in Dubai.

As well as restructuring Gadir specializes in M&A, debt advisory, private placements and special situations. He leverages over 15 years of experience in corporate finance and business transformation, advising public corporations, financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and family-owned businesses. His previous experience includes planning and executing performance improvement transformations and financial restructuring across diverse sectors such as education, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, logistics, consumer/retail, financial services, technology and industrials. He has led and managed deal transactions from senior debt to PE and structured products.

Before joining Duff & Phelps, Gadir held senior investment/M&A roles with Dussur, a Saudi sovereign investment vehicle, and the Olayan Group, a global institutional investor. Prior to this, he worked as a management consultant with Bain & Co. and Booz Allen Hamilton, and he was also a senior member of Deutsche Bank’s regional management team for the Middle East and Africa.
