Aviral Jain Speaks at PHD Chambers Event on Evolving Landscape of IBC

Aviral Jain, Managing Director in the Valuation Advisory practice at Duff & Phelps, spoke at the PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s session on "Evolving Landscape of IBC" held on August 23. The event was attended by members of PHD, bankers and insolvency resolution professionals.

Keeping in view the fast-evolving jurisprudence and the operating landscape of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Committee (IBC) of PHD Chamber and Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI (IIIP of ICAI) joined hands to organize this event to understand and assess the evolution of this new law. The IBC provides a legislative framework for the resolution of the stressed assets, to conduct insolvency and liquidation proceedings in a time bound manner for maximization of value of assets, to promote entrepreneurship, ensure availability of credit and balance the interests of all the stakeholders. The government, along with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) is actively monitoring the implementation of the IBC and making amendments wherever and whenever necessary. The session discussed some of the most important issues plaguing insolvency resolution professionals and other ecosystem stakeholders within the IBC.
